"Loggia" - it's a strange name isn't it? Our supplier, "The Architectural Glazing Shop"
(see recommended links) chose it because "loggia" describes a covered area which traditionally served as
an open-air room or as an entrance area outside the main door. In contrast, pergolas were simple, timber
frames often covered with vines.
Covering the average pergola with roofing can create problems. Since many homes are built with low eaves
for sun protection, ordinary pergolas are low, making them hot and stuffy - and timber pergolas need
regular maintenance to look good. Understanding these problems, we deliver a system which provides a more
comfortable and stylish solution for covered outdoor living areas. |
